About the role

To lead the maintenance team through example and co-ordination. To continuously improve the quality of engineering work on site. To work hand-in-hand with the Bakery Manufacturing Manager and H&S/Training Officer to drive site performance on safety, compliance and efficiency.



  • Take a leading role in ensuring and promoting the Health, Safety and Welfare of staff and visitors
  • Supervise a team of 3 Engineers prioritising team workload, auditing maintenance work, leading towards lean methodologies, review performance.
  • Shift cover and hands-on intervention and maintenance
  • Manage PPM via all-chart (or similar) moving site towards reliability centred maintenance
  • Procurement of engineering spares and consumables
  • Manage, prioritise and delegate work requests
  • Support BRC accreditation


About you

A driven and capable senior engineer, comfortable in a food production environment. Able or willing to take a step up to lead a team of engineers on a day to day basis, ensuring the proactive and reactive works are effectively prioritised and addressed in a timely manner.

  • Good communicator and have excellent fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful.
