COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS

Together with our partner Forestry England we are offering a forest getaway which includes a Forest Holidays cabin break and a treetop adventure with Go Ape.

The closing time and date for the competition is midnight 14/09/2021. Any entries after this date will not count, but your information may still be collected.

The winner will be chosen at random from all valid entries.

There is no cash alternative to the prizes stated, and the prizes are not transferable.

The prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.

No part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions.

If winners are unable to take the prize for whatever reason a redraw will take place.

Forestry England’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

The competition is open to UK residents, but not to employees of Forestry England nor their families, agencies or anyone associated with the competition.

You may not enter this prize draw if you are under 18 years old.

A maximum of one entry per person will be accepted. If more than one entry is made, only the first entry will be accepted. Entries made through agents, third parties, organised groups or any entry duplication method will not be accepted.

Entry implies acceptance into these terms and conditions. The entry instructions form part of the terms and conditions. By entering, you accept to and be bound by the terms and conditions.

Forestry England reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should circumstances outside its control make this necessary.

Forestry England reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid consumer disappointment.

FOREST HOLIDAYS STAY FOR UP TO FOUR PEOPLE

Prize is a Silver Birch cabin that sleeps up to 4 people, that can be redeemed against cabin breaks at any of their 11 locations.

  • Prize is either a mid-week four-night or weekend three-night stay.
  • The prize excludes school holidays.
  • The prize is non-transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion, discount, or voucher.
  • The prize can only be used against one booking.
  • The winner is responsible for transport to and from their chosen location.
  • The break is on a self-catering basis; food, travel, activities, and any other additional costs associated with the break are not covered by this prize.
  • No part of the prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.
  • Prize is valid until 31/12/2022, subject to availability.

 

GO APE TICKET FOR UP TO FOUR PEOPLE

  • Prize is valid on a Go Ape activity for up to 4 people and can be redeemed at any of their UK locations.
  • Prize can be used against any Go Ape experience, with the exception of Zip Trek Adventure.
  • Prize can only be used once and against one booking for up to 4 people.
  • Once booked, activity cannot be moved or refunded.
  • Winning Go Ape prize cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
  • Not to be used in conjunction with any other offers.
  • Subject to availability.

FORESTRY ENGLAND MEMBERSHIP FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

  • The winner will receive a Forestry England membership (valid for one year) for their local participating forest.
  • The winner will be contacted to choose their forest after the competition closes.
  • If already a member, the winner can apply the prize on to the end of the existing membership term (in the form of a year’s membership renewal instead).
  • Standard membership terms and conditions of use
  • The prize can only be used once but applies to the winner’s whole household.
  • No part of the prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.
  • Prize must be redeemed by 31/12/22.

 

BIKE HIRE FOR UP TO FOUR PEOPLE

  • The winner will receive a day’s bike hire session for up to 4 people at their nearest Forestry England site offering cycle hire facilities.
  • The winner will be contacted to choose their forest after the competition closes.
  • Terms and conditions of the bike hire facility will apply to this prize.

A RUNNER-UP PRIZE OF A PAIR OF FOREST LIVE TICKETS 

  • The winner will receive two tickets to one of the Forest Live 2022 concerts
  • Tickets to be collected at the on-site ticket office on the night of the concert.
  • Winners name and choice provided by 31 May 2022

1. Who we are in the data collection process

2. What personal data is being collected from you?

When you sign up to our V.I.Pie or Social Club (subscribe to our mailing lists) or enter a competition, we request personal data from you, such as your name, email, date of birth, location and postal address. This information allows us to understand a little more about you so that we can send you relevant news such as an offer or promotion in your nearest Pieminister.

When you place an order, request a catalogue or provide feedback using our website, we need to know your name and other information such as your postal address, e-mail address, telephone number and your credit card number and expiry date or bank account details etc. We gather this information to allow us to process your request.

The relevant information is then used by us, our agents and sub-contractors to provide you with the service you have requested and to communicate with you on any matter relating to the provision of the service in general.

We may collect, store and transfer different types of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity data includes title, first name, last name, date of birth and gender
  • Contact data includes a billing address, delivery address, email address and telephone number

NB: We store opt-in subscriber information securely via Campaign Monitor services; email address, name and preferred location are required, all other information is optional.

  3. purchase gift vouchers, V.I.Pie tokens or other goods from our online shop or in one of our restaurants;

NB: We use e-commerce software WooCommerce to process sales in our online shop. This software is developed by WooThemes. The technology behind WooCommerce is designed to optimise the shopping experience and cookies are used to support this. Please see our Cookies Policy for more information.

  1. make a booking at one of our restaurants or cafes;

NB: We provide online booking securely via ResDiary, using embedded booking widgets and systems operated by ResDiary. This helps us to manage bookings made at any of our Pieminister restaurants.

  2. give us feedback.

As you interact with our website, we may automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies, server logs, and other similar technologies. We may also receive Technical Data about you if you visit other websites employing our cookies.

6. How do we keep your data secure?
