Pieminister Picks

Our journey has really been inspired by those around us and the great things local businesses are doing. There’s so much to learn and admire, so we’ve started to collate a list of all our favourite and inspiring brands, amplifying the voices of people doing good.

Curated by our Pie Crew, each month we’ll be adding to the list and creating a space that celebrates diversity, equality and sustainability.

CHAOS AND COLOUR

Chaos and Colour is an ethical, black-owned brand dedicated to female empowerment and creating vibrant clothes sustainably. The clothing is designed in Bristol and handmade in North India by NGO, the ‘Saheli Women‘, using ancient weaving and fabric dyeing techniques.

TURTLE BAGS

Turtle Bags was set up by Beth back in 2002, with the aim to raise awareness of the hazards of plastic bags and sell alternatives. With an emphasis on doing business the right way, Turtle Bags work with their fair-trade partners to supply environmentally friendly bags which are all made with sustainable textiles. The bags are gorgeous – and have just launched a new range which are coloured with vegetable dyes. Check them out!
