Get baking for Red Nose Day (there’s only four weeks to go!)

We held our own Valentine’s Day bake-off here at Pieminister HQ, and we’re proud to say we raised £100 which will go straight to Comic Relief to help people in need in the UK and across Africa. Have a look at this fantastic selection of cakes we created; Beetroot Brownies, Ginger & Blood Orange Parkin, Peanut Butter Cookies, Spiced Toffee Apple Cupcakes, Rainbow Cake, Berry Bundt Cake, Red Velvet Cupcakes… the list goes on!

Before selling the cakes, we had the all-important competition to find Pieminister’s Master Baker. Our very strict Mary and Paul judges (Emma and Philip) judged the appearance, taste and texture of all the cakes while us wannabe bakers watched on nervously (and enviously!)

After some very serious and intense judging, the lovely Rozzie from our Events Team was crowned the Pieminister Master Baker 2012 for her Chocolate Orange Log Cakes. Well done Rozzie (and a big thanks to Edd Kimber @theboywhobakes for signing the prize – a copy of his fabulous new cookbook, Say it with Cake.
