Will You Support Great British Beef Week??

Great British Beef Week is nearly upon us (23rd – 30th April 2012) and Ladies in Beef are thrilled to have Pieminister’s support!!

Promoting the British message is never easy but with the help of Pieminister and the various multiple retailers who have already pledged their support; this promises to be the best Great British Beef Week to date.

Ladies in Beef (a group of female beef farmers) was established to tell the story of British Red Tractor beef. Our flagship event every year is the Great British Beef Week, which aims to raise awareness of the excellent quality and versatility of the Red Tractor assured beef produced in this country. Ladies in Beef are thrilled to have Pieminister on board along with a number of multiple retailers who are supporting the week with on-pack stickers. This year we have also decided to use the week to raise a substantial sum for Help for Heroes with various auction marts and independent butchers across the country helping to drive sales and fundraise for Help for Heroes during the week.

We all want quality nutritious food that’s affordable and safe to eat and there’s nothing better than British Red Tractor beef. The Red Tractor, which covers a whole range of agricultural produce, is an independent mark of quality that guarantees the food we’re buying comes from farms and food companies that meet high standards of food safety and hygiene, animal welfare and environmental protection. Pieminister only use the best, British ingredients available in their pies, such as British Red Tractor beef which is why they taste so delicious!

By buying British beef, consumers are not only helping to support the UK’s rural economy but are also contributing to a beautiful farmed countryside.  So why not play your part and support Great British Beef Week by purchasing one of Pieminister’s delicious Moo Pie’s, a sizzling sirloin steak or a classic roasting joint between the 23rd – 30th April 2012.

Did you know:

Beef is the third most consumed meat in the UK (18.8kg) behind chicken (31.1kg/person) and pork (24.5kg/person)
