Introducing our newest limited edition pie: Tikka To Ride

Sep 8 2022

Say hello to our latest innovation, Tikka to Ride.

Our new Tikka to Ride pie is filled to the brim with rich, warming free range British chicken tikka, topped with an onion bhaji and finished with a zesty herb relish. You can find it as part of our new autumn menu, launching in our restaurants on the 14th of September. Make sure to book your table now to avoid disappointment.

Tikka to Ride is also available in Waitrose branches and on our online shop

The peoples’ pie, Tikka to Ride pie, was created by one of our many loyal customers as part of our Pie Week 2022 competition.

Not ringing any bells? Let us remind you…

Cast your minds back to March 2022. Boris was denying any naughty activity in Downing Street, Southend-on-Sea became a city and Baxer the Flat Coated Retriever won Crufts. March also saw the most prestigious occasion of the year with British Pie Week and the launch of our ‘Design Our Next Pie…’ competition.

After trawling through almost 1,000 entries (the mouth-watering, the complex and the downright nasty), we narrowed down the entries and put it back to you, The Pie People. One more survey later and boom, Tikka To Ride was born. Big ups Stephen Bolton, our winner, who pondered it over pie and mash in our Birmingham store.

Stephen submitted this ingenious recipe as his ‘perfect Autumn pie’. So make sure you ‘curry up’ and get your hands on one soon to see if you agree. We recommend having it with fries and one of our new autumn sides of tenderstem broccoli, peas and shoots. The question now is, to gravy or to mango chutney?

Make sure to come and check it out when our Autumn menu drops on Wednesday 14th September along with some exciting new menu items (onion rings are BACK, we repeat, onion rings are BACK!).
